Hope floats In the Shaman's Dream

Hope Floats
In the dreams of a shaman
I found myself in a boat
drowning in a river of tears
and afloat alone on hope

A tribute to Andaman

I tried to lose meself once and found
myself in what they called
the 'land of the naked people'
stranded helpless yet willing,
there, in the luring islands
of those lost seas
i found reflections of my humanity

build castles of sand
play with the fairies of the sea
count the endless stars
in the purple skies
of shooting stars
and palm trees standing tall
in colours of green shaded
of playful moonlights

dance with those playful rolling gentle waves
make drawings which they would wash away
leave a warm hollow beneath the feet
the world softly gives way
you find youself that day
for that is who exactly is you
the way you feel the way you are
that way you' is'
that day that very day

Cleopatra

On second thoughts
i would love to be, the 'Cleopatra'
imagine
with both Egypt and Greece
lying low; Behold her lovely feet
even the wisdom of the great ancient Greek
her charms that lay captive
two worlds to her majesty's grace
for once in unison,
on their knees.
